What is PayByPoints?

PayByPoints feature offers instant redemption of your reward points at merchant outlets/stores. With this feature, your reward points are converted into currency at merchant outlets when you shop with your Kotak Credit Card.

Can I use the card at any merchant outlet?

This program is currently enabled at selective merchant outlets. Kindly visit www.kotak.com & click on the “PayByPoints” tab under credit card services to view the list of merchants enabled under this program.

Can Reward points be redeemed by Add-On card member?

No. Reward points can be redeemed only by the Primary card holder.

Do I have to use my PIN for the PayByPoint redemption?

No, PIN is not required for redeeming of reward points. The merchant will swipe your Kotak Credit Card if you wish to redeem your Credit Card reward points against your purchases.

In case there is any balance amount which is paid using the Credit Card, then the 6 digit card PIN will have to be entered by the cardholder.

Will my reward points be deducted instantly under this program?

Yes, the Reward Points will be instantly debited from the accumulated Points in the Cardholder's Account.

What is the ratio of points conversion in the PayByPoint program?

The ratio of PayByPoint conversion is similar to cash back conversion.

Will I get any communication post successful redemption?

Yes, you will receive an SMS which will hold the details of your point redemption.

Will I earn reward points if I swipe my card against using my Reward Points?

No. This is a redemption transaction and hence is not entitled to earn reward points

Can I cancel or roll back the redemption once done?

Once redemption is done, it cannot be rolled back.

Can I dispute the pay by point redemption?

Since the redemption is possible only with your physical card swipe at the Point Of Sale, any dispute related to the program needs to be taken up by the Cardholder with the merchant directly. Hence no dispute will be entertained by the Bank.

Will the Bank send any intimation/communication in case of any addition or deletion of merchants?

This service is provided by third party vendor. The Bank reserves the right to add/ discontinue any merchant/ service provider without informing its customers. Selection of services/products offered for redemption is and will be at the sole discretion of the Bank and is liable to change without prior notice.

Would the Bank be responsible for the goods/services provided?

The Bank may tie-up with third party service providers to offer their services to Cardholders at a discounted rate. The Bank makes absolutely no representations about the quality of their services and will not be responsible if the service in any manner is deficient or unsatisfactory.

The Bank shall not in any way be responsible for merchandise, merchandise warranty of the goods purchased or services availed by the Cardholder from such third parties including on account of delay in delivery, non-delivery, non-receipt of goods or receipt of defective goods by the Cardholder.

How can I earn points?

You can earn reward points based on the type of credit card you hold. The rate of earning points varies from one card to another. For further details please visit www.kotak.com

How can I redeem my points?

a.       Shop for your favorite products

b.      Contact Cashier

c.       Ask Cashier to redeem your Kotak Credit Card reward points at the merchant terminal

d.      Swipe your Kotak Credit Card

e.       Pay the balance amount (if any) by card

Where can I redeem my points?

You can redeem your reward points at merchant outlets when you shop at stores like Natures Basket, Globus, Clarks and more. For store details, visit (link).

How long are my points valid?

Reward points if not redeemed will expire after 2 years from the date on which they are earned. Bank will not send any prior intimation of reward point expiry to the customer.

How can I check the reward point balance in my account?

You can log in to Kotak Net banking section and select “Reward Redemption” tab. You may also check your latest credit statement to know your balance point.

Will I receive a monthly statement with regards to my reward points accrual?

Yes, a monthly credit card statement will be sent to the customers reflecting the transactions done and the reward points accrued during the course of the month. You will not receive separate monthly statement specifically for the reward points.

Do I need a minimum number of points for redemption?

Pay by point doesn’t have any capping of points. You can use your card points as per your choice.

Can I club points with card/cash for payment?

Yes, if your points aren’t sufficient during payment at our merchant store you can pay the rest by your credit card or cash.

When can I start redeeming my points?

You can redeem your points as soon as the reward point balance reflects in your Kotak Credit Card account.

What if the Merchant who is a part of the list is refusing/ignorant about this program?

Kindly call Kotak Customer Contact Center @ 1800 266 2666(Local call charges apply) and raise a complaint.

What if my redemption transaction is not going through?

Kindly check in net banking or call customer contact center @ 1800 266 2666(Local call charges apply) to know whether your card is enabled under the program and is free from any blocks.

Can I transfer or club points under this program?

Cardholder cannot transfer/club any Reward Points to another person or combine the Reward Points of his other Cards.
