Kotak BillPay is a 24X7 payment service that caters to all your bill payment needs. Kotak BillPay allows you to pay your bills online in a secure and convenient manner.
You can use Kotak Billpay from:
a. Kotak Mobile Banking App
a. Login to Kotak Mobile Banking app or Netbanking
b. Go to BillPay / One time Recharge Page
c. Select the category of the biller you want to pay
d. Select the biller name from the drop down
e. Enter the Biller details and click on continue
f. Choose your Bank account or Credit Card
g. Enter the amount. For some billers, the bill amount will be shown automatically.
h. Review your payment details in the confirmation page and click on confirm and pay to complete the transaction.
a. Go to Add / Manage Biller page
b. Click on Add Biller option
c. Select the category of the biller you want to register
e. Select the biller name from the drop down and set a nickname
f. You can choose to Set AutoPay and get your bills paid automatically every billcycle
g. Click on Add Biller to register your biller successfully
Bill Payments can be done for the following categories:
a. Broadband
b. Credit card
Registration for a new biller is dependent on biller’s bill cycle. Usually, a registered bill can be paid in the next bill cycle post registration. In case of those billers where ad hoc payment are allowed, payment can be made immediately after registration.
Customers are not charged any fee for using BillPay.
Majority of the billers accept payments via the Kotak Credit Card. However, you will not be able to make Visa Credit Card Payments, Mutual Funds, Property Tax, Donations with your Kotak Credit Card.
You can register the biller with Kotak BillPay, even if the same bill is registered with another bank. You will receive bills for the same at Kotak BillPay too.
When a new bill is presented, we will send you an email, SMS and push notification on your Email ID and mobile number registered with the bank.
No, there are no restrictions on the number of billers you can add.
There are no limits on the number of payments. You can pay as many bills as you want. However, please ensure you have sufficient balance/available limit in case of Credit Card.
Yes, you will continue to receive you physical bills as before.
Yes, you can pay bills for others from your bank account by specifying the biller details.
Yes, you can delete the billers once added. You will not receive electronic bills on Kotak BillPay after the biller is deleted.
You always have the option of paying your bills through any other mode like Payment Gateway (payment from biller’s website), cash or cheque, etc. If you have set AutoPay for a biller, payment will be made from your Kotak account/credit card as registered by you.
No, your Account/Credit Card will not be debited of the bill amount automatically unless you have registered that biller for AutoPay.
If you opt for AutoPay, your bill will automatically get paid regularly on the due date. You can relax and never worry about missing a bill payment. You can opt for Auto pay during Biller Registration or post registration of the biller.
Auto Pay can be set for the biller while registering your biller itself.

b. Click on Add Biller option.
c. Select the category of the biller you want to register
d. Select the biller name from the drop down and set a nickname
e. Enter your Auto Pay details.
f. Click on Add Biller to set Auto pay and register your biller.
g. Your bill will be paid from next billing cycle onwards
In case you want to set Autopay for an existing registered biller,
a. Go to Add / Manage Biller page
b. Select Modify Autopay option against your biller
c. Enter your Auto Pay details
d. Click on save changes to set Auto pay for your biller
e. Your bill will be paid from next billing cycle onwards
On receiving a bill, Kotak BillPay will immediately schedule the bill to be paid atleast four working days before the bill due date. All bills scheduled for payment can be viewed in the ‘Scheduled ’ section of View / Pay bills .
a. Go to View / Pay Bills page
b. Click on Stop option against the bill scheduled for auto payment in the ‘Scheduled ’ tab.Please ensure this is done 4 days before due date.
Yes, once you delete the bill, the same will move to ‘Due Bills’ section. Please ensure this is done 4 days before due date. You can pay your bills 3 days prior to the due date to avoid late payment charges.
AutoPay limit is an amount specified by you, above which if a bill is presented, the same will not be paid.
Yes, this is possible to set payment amount, frequency and amount in AutoPay for billers like Visa Credit Card where bills are not presented online and customer can make any ad hoc payment. The frequency of payment can be set as monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annually along with payment start date and end date.
Yes, you will receive SMS and Email alerts for AutoPay.

b. Select Modify Autopay from the contextual Menu against your biller
On successful payment of your bill, you will get a confirmation mail from Kotak BillPay to your registered email-id. You can view the list of successful payments under ‘Bill History’.
Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS) is a centralised system managed by NPCI. It offers integrated, accessible and interoperable bill payment services to consumers across geographies.
As of now some categories like electricity, water, gas, telephone and Direct-To-Home (DTH) are live in BBPS. Gradually, Mutual Funds, Insurance, Educational institutes etc. will be part of it.
You can register a complaint against the biller.
A payment once made cannot be cancelled. However, if you have made a double payment the same will be adjusted by the biller in your next bill.
It takes 3-4 working days for the payment to be received and updated by the billing company. Hence you are requested to make the payment at least 3 days before the due date, to avoid any service disruption or late payment charges.
You can view your past bills paid in Kotak BillPay under the ‘Payment History’ section. Prior transactions of up to 365 days will be available.
The process of recharging is hassle-free and instantaneous. You can top up your prepaid mobile phone or your DTH account from the comfort of your home or office. You can browse the tariff plans from Mobile Recharge section.
On successful debit of your account, the recharge will take place instantly, provided the recharge details are entered correctly.
You will get an alert to your preferred email ID and mobile number registered with the bank.

This service is absolutely free.
Customer can easily recharge from My Quick Recharge List in Bill Pay / One time Recharge Section. Customer can easily initiate recharge from this page itself.
There is a daily transaction limit of Rs. 10,000 for prepaid mobile phones and Rs. 10,000 for DTH top ups.
Once the transaction is made, your request for recharge is sent to the operator. If the mobile number is not available with the operator, the recharge will fail and refunds will be processed within 2 working days.
