Credit card fake working is what fraudsters do. They use your real credit card information using a credit card skimmer, it is basically a small device that reads your card information and saves it. Another thing they use is a fake credit card number generator, with this they copy your real credit card front and back details.

How to Protect Yourself from Fraudulent Credit Cards?

To protect yourself from fraudulent credit cards, we have some tips:

  • Be cautious when using your credit card - If you think the service provider is not reliable and there’s a risk in using a credit card for payments there, it is best you avoid them. Only use your credit card at an authorised payment gateway, this way there will be fewer chances of fraud.
  • Check your credit card statements regularly - You might not be aware of the fake credit card someone has been using with your valid card information, so it is best to keep track of the transactions. And if you see any suspicious activity in the account statement, report it to us immediately.
  • Use strong and unique passwords - Credit card information can be copied by fraudsters online as well. So it is best to use a unique password for credit card online transactions.
  • Report any lost or stolen credit cards immediately - Contact us at 1800 209 0000 to report any fraudulent activity with your credit card account. By doing so you intimate us that someone has been using your card details without your knowledge.

It's also important to protect your valid credit card from fraudulent activities. You can do this by

  • Keeping your credit card in a secure location and do not share its detail with anyone

Real credit card front and back is hard to copy for any fraudster if you keep your card details to yourself and don’t share them with anyone. Even sharing your credit card picture might put your card details at risk. So be very careful with whom you share your credit card number.

  • Do not provide your credit card information to anyone over the phone or email

Fraudsters often contact as pretending to be credit card companies and ask for the card details. This is how they create fake credit card numbers. So what you can do here is be protective of your card details and don’t share them with whomever pretending to be a card issuer.
