Apply through Net banking or Mobile banking if you are an existing customer of the Kotak Bank or alternatively you can also walk into any of our branches and purchase a Kotak Gift Card. If you are not an existing customer of Bank, please visit our Branch along with your KYC documents and Beneficiary details (name, mobile number, email id and postal address).
You do not need to have an account with Kotak Mahindra Bank to purchase this card. Simply walk into any of our branches, fill out an application form, submit kyc and deposit the amount to be loaded onto the card plus the fees by paying cheque.
You can purchase the card for a minimum value of Rs. 500 and load it for up to Rs. 10, 000 in multiples of 500.

For Kotak Gift Cards procured from branches, will be activated within 1 working day of its purchase (post receipt of clear funds by Bank), however for cards procured through Net Banking & Mobile banking, the recipient is required to call Bank’s customer care number 1860 266 2666 or 66006022 (Local Call Charges apply).
For online website/app purchases, Input the card details while making the payment online at any merchant website/app followed with the Card PIN which is sent as part of your Card kit, you will receive an OTP on your mobile number, enter that and you will be able to make a successful transaction.
No, there is no extra charge (surcharge) on payments made through your Gift Card. However, at some merchant locations, such as petrol pumps, railway stations etc., a surcharge of 2.5% of the purchase amount will be applicable as per industry practice.
No. For security reasons, your Kotak Gift Card cannot be used for making payments through the internet or for mail/telephone transactions.

Yes. The value need not be exhausted all at once. You may utilize your card only for the amount you need to, as and when convenient. You can then continue to use your card till the total amount on the card has been spent or till the expiry of the card whichever is first.

In such situation the transaction will be declined by the Bank on account of insufficient balance and you will be required to pay cash for the purchase.
Report the loss/theft of your card immediately at any of our branches or call our 24-hour Customer Contact Centre and quote your Card reference number. Your card will be deactivated immediately to prevent misuse. However, new card can be reissued but the charged (i.e. 100+GST) will be applicable for the same.
In such a case, Bank can issue a new Kotak Gift Card basis request from customer, can facilitate transfer of funds from old card to new card. Please visit branch along with your old card, incase card is damaged/expired.
