How do I activate my dormant NRE account?

As an NRI customer, you can activate your dormant NRE account by sending a request  to [email protected]. , from your preferred email address that is updated in our Bank records.Kindly attach a Dormancy Removal request along with your identity, signature and address proof while sending the mail. To download a request letter, please click here.

Note: Dormant accounts are converted into inactive accounts, so you will need to initiate a debit/ credit transaction to have your NRE account fully activated.

You can also visit a nearby Kotak Mahindra Bank branch and place the request for NRE account activation. Please click here to locate the nearest branch. This will take up to 3 working days from the day you place the request with us.
