What should I do if my Credit Card is not working for an online transaction?

Please do the following checks,

1. Make sure you are using the correct and latest OTP or Verify by Visa Password for the transaction

2. Check if your card is blocked for Verify by VISA

  • To unblock your Credit Card for Verify by VISA, please send a simple SMS from your registered mobile number KOTAK UNBLOCK <LAST FOUR DIGITS OF CARD NUMBER> to 5676788 and your card Verify By Visa will be unblocked instantly.

2. Check your transaction amount and the available limit on your Credit Card. If your available limit is lesser than the transaction amount, the transaction may get declined. You can check if you are eligible for increasing your credit limit.

On Mobile Banking

  1. Go to Credit Card
  2. Select Credit Card Service Requests
  3. Select Card Limit Increase

On Net Banking

  1. Go to Credit Card
  2. Select Value Added Services
  3. Select Limit Enhancement

If you are not eligible for Limit enhancement online, you can call our 24x7 helpline and place and limit enhancement request and provide your income proof documents (subject to approval basis the income documents)
