What is the Annual & Joining Fee for this Card?

The Joining fee for Delight Platinum Credit Card is Rs. 1999

Joining Fees of Rs. 1999 is applicable in the 1st Year and charged one time at the beginning of the year .It is billed in the 1st statement generated after card set up in the 1st Year.

The Annual fee for Delight Platinum Credit Card is Rs. 299

Annual fee of Rs. 299 is applicable from the 2nd Year onwards and charged at the beginning of the year.It is billed in the 13th statement generated after card set up in the 2nd Year and every 12 months thereafter.

When do you charge me a Mark Up?

When do you charge me an over limit charge?

If your transactions cross 100% of your credit limit, you will be charged a flat over limit fee of Rs. 500 in each billing cycle that you are over limit.

How is the interest calculated on cash?

Please refer the below information:

Interest charges = (Number of days for which a balance is held) * (Amount) * (Daily rate of interest)

Daily rate of interest = (Monthly interest rate) * 12/365

Daily rate of interest = (3.5%) * 12/365 = 0.1118%

Please note that the per day interest rate in the above calculation is for illustration purpose only and the actual applicable rate shall be as prevailing and quoted in the schedule of charges.

Where all can I avail of 10% Cashback?

10% Cashback is offered to the customers on Restaurants & Entertainment MCC (Merchant Category Codes) as defined by VISA. This would also include Bars, Pubs & anything else classified under Restaurants MCC.

Entertainment would include Movie and Play theatres.Cash Back is offered on transactions undertaken at only stand-alone outlets and not outlets which are affiliated to any Hotels/ Shopping Malls / Departmental Stores etc and classified under the "Hotel", "Grocery" , "Apparels", "Departmental Stores" etc Merchant Category Code as defined by VISA.

Would that also include coffee shops & pizza outlets like Cafe Coffee Day, Barista or Dominos etc?

Yes you can avail of the cashback if the coffee shops & pizza outlets are mapped under the Restaurant MCC in VISA mapping. As per VISA data majority of coffee shops and pizza outlets are identified as under Restaurant MCC and hence the customer will enjoy a 10% Cashback.

Would that include eating joints at Shopping Malls like Spencer's, Big Bazaar etc?

Restaurants within Malls & Department store are mapped as malls; hence no cashback will be earned on them.

Hotels are strictly barred from any cashback as Cash Back is offered on transactions undertaken at only stand-alone outlets and not outlets which are affiliated to hotel and classified under the "Hotel" Merchant Category Code as defined by VISA. For e.g. If a customer eats at TAJ or ITC Grand Maratha they will not receive cashback.

Yes,the 10 %cash-back offer is over and above other offer extended by the merchants and it can be combined with other offers extended by the dining or entertainment merchant as the cashback is provided by the Bank on the amount for which the customer is billed after availing the offer extended by the Merchant.

Yes you will be entitled for 10% cashback whether you book the tickets from a 3rd party aggregator website e.g. Book My Show or if you book on the website of a particular theatre or multiplex etc www.pvrcinemas.com, as long as they are mapped under Entertainment MCC.

Is there any specific condition for availing the 10% cashback?

Yes. You can avail the 10% Cashback on Dining and Movies only if you spend a minimum of Rs. 10, 000 on categories other than dining and entertainment within the billing cycle to avail 10% cash-back on dining ( stand-alone outlets ) and movies every month

*Categories other than Dining and Entertainment include Grocery , Airlines , Apparels , Fuel , Department Store,Jewellery , Electronics etc. A maximum Cash-back of Rs. 600 including both Dining & Entertainment transactions will be given in a monthly billing cycle. Dining & Movie Transactions up to Rs. 4000 are eligible for cash-back. Cash-back for a particular billing cycle will be credited in the next month billing cycle.

Cash-back is offered on transactions undertaken at only those Merchant Establishments which are classified under the "Restaurants" and "Entertainment" Merchant Category Code (MCC) as defined by VISA

What is the maximum transaction amount in a single swipe for which I can earn cashback?

The maximum transaction amount for a single swipe is Rs. 4000; hence the maximum cashback that a customer can earn in a single transaction is Rs. 400. If the transaction value for example is Rs. 4500, you are not entitled for any cashback

What is the maximum amount of cashback available to me?

The maximum cash-back available to you in a month is Rs. 600.Once these limits are exhausted, you will not be entitled for any more cash-back on dining & entertainment in that cycle

To meet the Rs. 10,000 eligibility criteria, transactions will be considered as per the billing date of the transaction and not as per the date on which the Delight Platinum Card is swiped. E.g. Transaction done on 24th May & settled on 26th May will not be considered as an eligible transaction for meeting the Rs. 10,000 spend criteria in the 25th May statement cycle.

How & when will the cashback appear in the statement?

Cashback would appear in your next month statement after the statement in which the transaction was billed.You will be billed the complete transaction amount and the cashback would appear as a credit entry.

What is the insurance cover on the Kotak Credit Card?

What do I have do, in case my credit card is lost or stolen?

  1. In case your card is lost or stolen immediately call Customer Contact Center(1860 266 2666) and get your card deactivated / blocked / cancelled to prevent misuse .
  2. You are required to register a claim with the Insurance Company and can contact HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company at 1800 2700 700 or send an email at bankclaims@hdfcergo.comfor registering the claim

What happens if the Insurance Company approves my claim?

If the insurance claim is approved by the Insurance Company the disputed transaction amount[s] would be credited to your card account, subject to the eligible insurance amount. In case the disputed amount exceeds the eligible claim amount you shall be liable to pay for the excess amount of the disputed transaction(s) as reflecting in your Kotak Credit Card Statement.

On purchasing of rail tickets online at www.irctc.co.in the customer is levied a 1% surcharge and on purchasing of rail tickets from the Indian Railways Booking Counters customer is levied a 1% surcharge.
