Shanti Ekambaram is the Whole-time Director of Kotak Mahindra Bank. In her new avatar she heads several functions including Kotak 811, Vigilance, Public Affairs, Human Resources, Group Marketing & Corporate Communications, Treasury, and Financial Inclusion.
Prior to her new role Shanti was head Consumer Banking and build an integrated Consumer Banking Franchise across asset and liability products. Before taking over the reins of consumer banking, she set up several businesses and was the head of the bank’s corporate and investment banking business.
Jaideep Hansraj Managing Director & CEO
Jaideep Hansraj recently assumed charge as MD & CEO of Kotak Securities, the broking arm of Kotak Mahindra Group. He has been with Kotak for over two decades. Prior to this role, Jaideep was head of the Bank’s Wealth Management, Priority Banking and NR business. Under his leadership, Kotak Wealth Management has emerged as the leading wealth management firm in India and has won several accolades and recognition across the industry.
Jaimin Bhatt Group President & Group Chief Financial Officer
Jaimin is Group CFO of Kotak Mahindra Bank and spearheads Finance, Tax, Strategy, Legal, Secretarial, Investor Relations, Operations and Facilities management and is also part of Kotak Group Management Council. He has been the Group CFO since 2003 and prior to his CFO stint, he was heading M&As at Kotak Mahindra Capital Company. He has over 38 years of experience in the financial sector, 28 years of which have been with the Kotak Mahindra Group.
KVS Manian Whole-time Director
Mr. KVS Manian, aged 60 years, is an electrical engineer from IIT (BHU) - Varanasi, Post Graduate in Financial Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies Mumbai and a Cost and Works Accountant.
Mr. Manian is a Whole-time Director of the Bank from 1st November, 2019. Mr. Manian has been instrumental in setting up and metamorphosing many business divisions into success stories in his over two and a half decade association with the Kotak Group. He has played a pivotal role in Kotak’s journey from an Non-Banking Financial Company to a Bank. Currently, Mr. Manian spearheads the Corporate Banking as also the Private Banking business of the Bank and has oversight responsibilities for Investment Banking and Institutional Equities Businesses. He is responsible for building a high quality integrated and profitable franchise across these businesses. Under his leadership, the Corporate Bank has grown significantly both in terms of size and profits while maintaining best in class asset quality. The Investment Banking, Institutional Equities and Wealth Management businesses also continue to maintain and improve their leadership positions in the industry. He has also been instrumental in upgradation of technology in these businesses and has also focused on building strong transaction banking capabilities of the Bank. Prior to his current role, Mr. Manian scripted the retail-banking narrative of Kotak. He was the President of Consumer Banking - steering the Bank from a single branch to over 600 branches and more than 1,000 ATMs across the country in a span of 10 years. He set up the Bank’s Retail Liability business from scratch and later managed the entire Consumer Banking business including Consumer Asset products like Home Loans, Cards, Personal Loans, Business Loans, Loans Against Property, MSME and others, some of which were launched and grown to scale during his tenure. He synergised and evolved a coordinated business strategy across asset and liability products of the Consumer Bank. In this process, he set up one of the best consumer banking franchises in the Indian banking industry.
Virat Diwanji Group President & Head - Consumer Bank
Virat Diwanji is a part of the Bank’s Group Management Council. Over the last two and a half decades with Kotak, Virat has led over 10 diverse business lines cutting across Assets and Liabilities. He took on the mantle of managing the branch banking business in November 2007 with the primary responsibility of establishing bank branches as a point of product distribution, transaction processing and differentiated customer experience. Some of his career milestones include managing the first JV of the Group with an overseas partner, Ford Credit as its Managing Director. In the recent past, Virat has successfully managed the integration of ING Vysya Bank’s retail distribution network with the branch banking network of Kotak.
