How to eFile TDS/TCS Returns?
TDS is the tax deducted on payments made by a business to any individual and TCS is the tax collected by a vendor or seller when selling a product or service to the consumer or buyers. Know how to file TDS or TCS returns online in three simple steps:
1. Download the .csi file by visiting the e-filing portal. Log in with your TAN number and password and download the Challan File from the ePay menu.
2. Generate an FVU file using any verification tool such as the recommended RPU Utility software. Fill in all necessary details in the Challan tab and the Annexure tabs and click on Create File. Then validate using the .csi file.
3. Finally, upload the FVU file on the e-filing portal under the File Income Tax menu. After verification of your details, the process is completed.
