If the vehicle is new & does not have registration certificate how can I apply for FASTag?

In case registration certificate is not issued, you can still get FASTag basis VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) also known as Chassis Number. You can mention the Chassis number and apply for FASTag. Kindly note, for all the tags issued prior to 1st April, 2024 the vehicle number should be updated within 90 days of tag registration. For tag registration post 1st April, 2024 the vehicle number should be updated within 180 days of registration.
