It is possible that on the first attempt,  the merchant did not get a confirmation receipt on the POS machine and therefore the merchant swiped your card a second time.

But don't worry. Check your account once again after 24 to 48 hours to see if the same amount is reversed into your account. If it's not reversed, call our 24x7 helpline number.
