In accordance with RBI guidelines, all Kotak Bank Debit Cards issued from 07/10/2020, can only be used at domestic ATM and for transactions made on domestic payment machines (POS) at stores. This is done to make your Debit Card transactions and payments safer.

To make online purchases, international transactions, contactless payments & Tokenization*, you will have to activate the services via Kotak Net Banking / Mobile Banking App.

Terms and conditions apply. Kindly refer to the e-mail/SMS sent to your Kotak Bank registered e-mail id/mobile no. to check what services has been disabled. International usage can be enabled on Kotak Debit Card if the customer’s PAN card details are registered with Kotak Bank or if the customer belongs to NRI or Diplomat category. Contactless usage can only be enabled by customers holding a valid Kotak Bank Contactless Debit Card (Look for contactless indicator on Kotak Bank Debit Card). *Tokenization payment facility (adding/registering your Kotak Bank Debit Cards on third party apps like Googe Pay, Samsung pay, etc) can be enabled on Kotak Bank Visa Debit Cards only. This facility is not available on Mastercard, Rupay and Visa Domestic Prepaid Cards.
