USSD banking service has been using the National Unified USSD platform (NUUP) developed by National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). Kotak Bank does not charge any fees for this service. However, charges, as applicable, may be levied by telecom operators.
USSD or Unstructured Supplementary Service Data means a real-time or instant session-based messaging service. National Unified USSD Platform (NUUP) is offered on a short code: *99#. The service allows every banking customer to access banking services with a single number across all banks - irrespective of the telecom service provider, mobile handset make or the region.
