What is the Annual & Joining Fee for this Card?

The Annual fee for Feast Credit Card is 499 (Applicable only for Feast Cards issued after 18 May 2011).
There is no joining fee for the Feast Gold Card.

Is this Card valid internationally?

Yes, this Card is valid internationally.

Do I enjoy any interest free period on retail?

Yes, you enjoy an interest free period on retail transactions of up to 48 days.

Do I enjoy any interest free period on cash?

The interest free period is limited only to the retail transactions & does not include cash transactions. The interest starts accruing from the date of cash withdrawal.

What is the interest Rate that is applicable to me?

The interest applicable to you is 3.5% per month.

When do you charge me a Mark Up?

A Mark up is charged to the tune of 3.5% every time you do an international transaction. Cash and Retail transactions will both attract a Mark up.

When do you charge me an over limit charge?

If your transactions cross 100% of your credit limit, you will be charged a flat over limit fee of500 in each billing cycle that you are over limit.

How is the interest calculated on cash?

Interest charges = (Number of days for which a balance is held) * (Amount) * (Daily rate of interest)

Daily rate of interest = (Monthly interest rate) * 12/365

Daily rate of interest = (3.5%) * 12/365 = 0.1019%

Please note that the per day interest rate in the above calculation is for illustration purpose only and the actual applicable rate shall be as prevailing and quoted in the schedule of charges.

Am I entitled for an Add-on Card?

Yes, Add-on Cards are available on Feast Gold Card for a one time fee of299 per card.

Are all the Feast features available on the Add-on Card?

Yes, all Feast features can be availed by the Add-on Card holder.

Will the Add-on Card holder get a separate dinning points?

The monthly dinning points limit of600 has been set up for the Primary & Add-on Cards combined. Hence, the Add-on Card holder will not get any separate dinning points.

10 Dining Points on Dining & Entertainment

Where all can I avail of 10 Dining Points?

10 Dining Points is offered to the customers on Restaurants & Entertainment MCC (Merchant Category Codes) as defined by VISA. This would also include Bars, Pubs & anything else classified under Restaurants MCC. Entertainment would include Movie and Play theatres. dinning points is specifically not offered on Hotel MCC as specified by VISA.

Would that also include coffee shops & pizza outlets like Cafe Coffee Day, Barista or Dominos etc?

Yes, you can get dining points if the coffee shops & pizza outlets are mapped under the Restaurant MCC in VISA mapping. As per VISA data majority of coffee shops and pizza outlets are identified as under Restaurant MCC and hence the customer can enjoy 10 Dining points for every Rs100 Spent.

Would that include eating joints at Shopping Malls like Spencer's, Big Bazaar etc?

Restaurants within Malls & Department store are mapped as malls; hence no Dining Points will be earned on them.

Will this include all restaurants, bars and pubs in hotels?

Hotels are strictly barred from any dinning points. For e.g. If a customer eats at TAJ or ITC Grand Maratha they will not receive dinning points.

Is this dinning points applicable to Multiplexes only?

It is available at all outlets mapped under ’Entertainment’, so apart from Multiplexes all theatres etc are also included in the dinning points.

Which Multiplexes are included in the offer?

As given above all Multiplexes under Entertainment are included in this offer.

Can this be combined with any other offer the multiplex may be offering?

Yes, it can as we will be providing dinning points on the amount once the customer is billed.

What play theaters are included in this offer?

All play theaters are mapped under Entertainment MCC & hence the customer will enjoy a 10 Dining Points at all places.

Will this also cover payments I make for movies and theater through the internet?

If you book the tickets from a 3 party website e.g. Book My Show, you will not be earning any dinning points if they are not mapped under Entertainment MCC. However if you book on the website of a particular multiplex etc www.pvrcinemas.com, you will be entitled for 10 Dining Points.

Is there any specific condition for availing the 10 Dining Points?

Yes. You can avail the 10 Dining Points on Dining and Movies only if your total purchases including dining and movie spends are5000 or more in a billing cycle.

What is the maximum transaction amount in a single swipe for which I can earn dinning points?

The maximum transaction amount for a single swipe is4000; hence the maximum dinning points that a customer can earn in a single transaction is400. If the transaction value for example is4500, you are not entitled for any dinning points.

What is the maximum amount of dinning points available to me?

The maximum dining points available to you in a month is600. Please note that only the first 5 Dining and Movie transactions in a cycle earn dining points. Once these limits are exhausted, you will not be entitled for any more dining points on dining & entertainment in that cycle.

To meet the 5000 eligibility criteria, transactions will be considered as per the billing date of the transaction and not as per the date on which the Feast Card is swiped.

E.g. Transaction done on 19th May & settled on 21st May will not be considered as an eligible transaction for meeting the 5000 spend criteria in the 20th May statement cycle.

How & when will the dinning points appear in the statement?

dinning points would appear in your statement following transaction date. You will be billed the complete transaction amount and the dinning points would appear as a credit entry.

Under what circumstances will I not earn dinning points?

You would not earn 10 Dining Points on dining and entertainment under the following scenarios:

  • You have continuously defaulted in your last three payments due.
  • You have not made a total purchase of 5000 or more in the billing cycle.
  • You have already exhausted the dining points limit of 600 per cycle.
  • You have already exhausted the limit of 5 dining and movie transactions per cycle.

Insurance Cover

What is the insurance cover on the Kotak Credit Card?

On the Kotak Credit Card the insurance cover is for Lost/stolen card /fraudulent charges provided by HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company.

What does the Insurance cover include?

If your credit card is lost or stolen, HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company will reimburse the unauthorized charges on your lost or stolen card, up to 7 days prior to your first reporting the event to Kotak Credit Card Customer Care.

Insurance is provided on both the primary card and the add-on/supplementary cards. We recommend that you read the Most Important Terms and Conditions and Cardholder Agreement for further details.

What does the insurance cover exclude?

HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company will not pay for any expenses or loss for:

  • Charges made on your lost or stolen credit card more than 7 days prior to your first reporting the event to Kotak Credit Cards Customer Care.
  • Charges made on your lost or stolen credit card after you first reported the event to Kotak Credit Cards Customer Care.
  • Charges made on your credit card if your credit card has not been lost or stolen;
  • Cash advances made with your lost or stolen credit card;
  • Charges incurred by a resident of your household, or by a person entrusted with your credit card.

What is the total sum insured?

The sum insured is Rs. 25,000.00 / 50,000 / 75,000 / 2,50,000.00 per annum for Silver, Gold, Platinum/Titanium and Signature cards respectively.

What do I have do, in case my credit card is lost or stolen?

  • In case your card is lost or stolen immediately call Customer Contact Center(1860 266 2666) and get your card deactivated / blocked / cancelled to prevent misuse .
  • You are required to register a claim with the Insurance Company and can contact HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company at 1800 2700 700 or send an email at for registering the claim
  • Send a copy of the Customer Dispute Form to the Bank . You can either fax us at 022-66466901 or mail a scanned copy at

How do I register the claim with HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company?

Please submit the following mandatory documents to HDFC ERGO within 7 days from day of event / loss to register your claim –

  • Filled in Claim form
  • Filled in Dispute form
  • FIR copy

The Claim form and Dispute form can be downloaded from www.kotakcards.com. The settlement of the claim registered by you will be subject to approval of the claim by the Insurance Company after independent investigations and shall be limited to the eligible insurance amount as per your card type as mentioned. Kotak Credit cards will not be responsible for any disputes arising out of any claims. All claims will be directly handled by HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company.

What happens if the Insurance Company approves my claim?

If the insurance claim is approved by the Insurance Company the disputed transaction amount[s] would be credited to your card account, subject to the eligible insurance amount. In case the disputed amount exceeds the eligible claim amount you shall be liable to pay for the excess amount of the disputed transaction(s) as reflecting in your Kotak Credit Card Statement.

What happens if the Insurance Company rejects my claim or I fail to register a claim with the Insurance Company?

In case if you fail to register your claim with the Insurance Company or if your claim is rejected by the Insurance Company you will be liable to pay the amount of the disputed transaction(s) as reflecting in your Kotak Credit Card Statement.
