What do you need to use IMPS?
A Kotak Mahindra Bank resident current or savings account
Your preferred mobile number registered with the bank
Mobile Money Identifier (MMID) - 7 digit number issued by the bank for your account. You will have different MMIDs for different accounts
How to use IMPS?
To send money using IMPS:
| A) | Download the Kotak Mobile Banking application by sending "K Mobile A" as an SMS to 9971056767 or 5676788, from your preferred mobile number registered with us. Here 'A' is last 4 digits of your CRN | ||||||
| B) | Login to Kotak Mobile Banking with your Net Banking User ID and password to receive the Activation Key on your preferred mobile number and email ID registered with us | ||||||
| C) | Forward the SMS received to 9971056767 or 5676788. Alternatively call our 24-hour Customer Contact Centre at our toll free number - 1800 102 6022 to activate Mobile Banking on your handset | ||||||
| D) | Login to the Kotak Mobile Banking application click on Banking > Payments > Other Banks - Instant (IMPS). Select your bank account from which the amount is to be debited and enter the following details:

To receive money using IMPS:
| A) | Receive MMID for your bank account by:
Sending "K MMID B" as an SMS to 9971056767 or 5676788 from your preferred mobile number registered with the bank. Here 'B' is the last 4 digits of your account number. The MMID for the account will be sent to you via SMS and email alerts OR Calling our 24-hour Customer Contact Centre or visiting the nearest Kotak Mahindra Bank branch |
| B) | Share your mobile number and the MMID with the sender |
