At Kotak Mahindra Bank ATMs you can Check your account balance, Withdraw cash, Deposit cash/cheques, Transfer funds between your accounts with the Bank, Print Account Snapshot showing recent transactions, Order account statements, Request for a cheque book and Change your Personal Identification Number (PIN).
At Merchant EstablishmentsYour Kotak Platinum Debit Card is welcome at over 5 lakhs Merchant Establishments in India and over 30 million Merchant Establishments the world over. You can access only your Primary Account* for transactions at Merchant Establishments.
*You can specify any account to be your Primary Account. In the absence of any instructions your first account opened with us will by default be treated as your Primary Account.
- To activate your Platinum Debit Card for use at Merchant Establishments, you will need to:
- Use your Debit Card at any Visa ATM OR
- SMS K POSACT D (D - Last 4 digits of your Debit Card) to 9971056767 / 5676788 OR
- Click on "Service Requests" link after logging into Net Banking under the Banking section OR
- Call our 24 Hrs Customer Contact Centre
# foreign currency transactions on debit cards will be charged at Visa rate inclusive of commission/fees charged by Visa and 3.5% currency conversion charge.
At Visa/PLUS ATMsYou can enquire on the balance in your account or withdraw cash in India or abroad absolutely free of charge.
At other Bank ATMs, you can access upto one savings account and current account (if your Primary Account is a savings account, then the first savings account opened by you can be accessed and vice versa).

Kotak Platinum Debit Card works in 4 easy steps at Merchant Establishments; your account will be automatically debited for the amount of your purchase.
- Look for the VISA signage / logo
- Present your Kotak Platinum Debit Card to the merchant
- Kotak Platinum Debit Card will be swiped through the electronic terminal and the amount will be entered
- Slip will be generated and you will have to sign the transaction slip
- Customer copy of the transaction slip will have to be retained by you, along with the card
You can use your Kotak Platinum Debit Card at any Bank ATM in India or abroad absolutely free of cost.
Especially for Kotak Platinum Debit Card customers, the daily limit on purchases is enhanced to
200,000.00 and on ATMs is
200,000.00. This gives you a per day limit of
400,000
Surely, just call our 24-hour Customer Contact Centre to modify the limits to any amount up to the default limits. If you wish to increase beyond the default limit, just fill up the limit modification form on our website and submit it at any of our Bank branches.
For your safety purpose, we send you a card which is inactive for use at merchant establishments.

To report loss of your Kotak Platinum Debit Card, just call Visa Global Customer Assistance (GCAS); this service is available to our Kotak Platinum Debit Card customer almost anywhere in the world. For a nominal cost, you can request for the card to be delivered to you.

All it takes is a phone call, any time, anywhere in the world. The Visa Platinum Customer Centre (VPCC) is manned by professionals 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. On the Kotak Platinum Debit Card the Lost Card Liability Insurance is an insurance provided by HDFC Ergo General Insurance Co. Ltd. covering fraudulent transactions on a lost or stolen card.
In case your Kotak Platinum Debit Card is lost or stolen, HDFC Ergo General Insurance Co. Ltd. will reimburse the unauthorized purchase charges on your lost or stolen card, up to 30 days prior to your first reporting and 7 days post reporting the event to Kotak Customer Contact Centre.

Insurance is provided on the primary card, add-on and supplementary cards. Kotak Mahindra Bank will not responsible for any disputes arising out of any claims. All claims will be directly handled by HDFC Ergo General Insurance Co. Ltd.
HDFC Ergo General Insurance Co. Ltd. will not pay for any expenses or loss for:
- Transactions made on your lost or stolen Debit Card more than 30 Days prior to your first reporting the event to Kotak Customer Contact Centre.
- Any loss or damage arising out of Card transactions authorized using PIN issued to the Cardholder by the Bank
- Any loss or damage arising out of Internet Based transaction.
- Transactions made on your Debit Card if your Debit Card has not been lost or stolen
- ATMs cash withdrawal made with your lost or stolen Debit Card;
- Transactions made by a resident of your household, or by a person entrusted with your Debit Card.

The sum insured is
200,000 for a year.
Surely, the insurance cover will hold up to the amount, regardless of the number of times the card may be lost / stolen.
You need to immediately inform the Bank by calling the Call our 24-hour Customer Contact Centre or by visiting any Kotak Mahindra Bank branch and get your Kotak Platinum Debit Card hotlisted. In case of any fraudulent transactions that may have taken place on the debit card, you will need to lodge a claim by submitting the documents as and when required by HDFC Ergo General Insurance Co. Ltd.

Kotak Mahindra Bank gives you complimentary insurance cover on your Kotak Platinum Debit Card in any unfortunate event that leads to the death of the card-holder in an air accident.
Sum insured per person is
2,000,000.
Only your legal heir is entitled to the claim.
This insurance is applicable only in case of death while traveling by Air.
The Cardholders shall be insured in case of their death while air travel whether domestic or international subject to the terms and conditions of the HDFC Ergo General Insurance Co. Ltd availed by the Bank.

You will need to lodge a claim by submitting the documents as and when required by HDFC Ergo General Insurance Co. Ltd. The Insurance can be claimed only if your travel tickets have been purchased using the Platinum Debit Card.

Lost baggage insurance covers loss or damage due to accident or misfortune whilst on journey, anywhere in the world.

Many major airlines have their lounge facilities which are available at select destinations only. Priority Pass offers you access to over 600 lounges with facilities & an experience unmatched by any airline lounge.
Although most of the major airlines will have their own lounge facilities at many of their destinations, this is not always guaranteed. And it is usually at the less popular destinations where an airline lounge does not exist that you need one most! Priority Pass is a great back-up in such circumstances.
As membership of Frequent Flyer programs continues to grow, many airlines are becoming more restrictive with lounge access. And remember it's not always possible to fly with your preferred airline. What if I am traveling with a colleague / family member / friend who isn't a member of Priority Pass?
Your Priority Pass enables you to invite guests to the lounge. While, as a member no access charge is applicable on your visit, the guest visit will be charged to your Kotak Platinum Debit Card.
Of course. But if you are traveling with your family, please note that some lounges, particularly in the UK, do not allow access for children less than 12 years of age.
Yes. All lounges listed in Priority Pass Directory are open to all members, irrespective of the airline you fly with.
Once we receive your application you can expect to receive your Priority Pass welcome kit within 15 working days.
Unfortunately unless you can produce your membership card the lounge staff will not be able to give you access. It is therefore important to always carry your Priority Pass membership card with you.
- Look for the Priority Pass signage / logo.
- Present your Priority Pass to the lounge personnel
- The Priority Pass will be swiped through a terminal and a slip will be given to you
- You will have to sign the slip, give one copy to the lounge personnel and retain the other copy with you
