You can walk into any of our branches and purchase a Best Compliments card over the counter.
You do not need to have an account with Kotak Mahindra Bank to purchase this card. Simply walk into any of our branches, fill out an application form and deposit the amount to be loaded onto the card plus the fees by paying cash or cheque. You instantly get the Best Compliments card ready to be gifted. Or if you have an account with Kotak Mahindra Bank you can directly debit the amount.
As of now, this facility is not available.
You can purchase the card for a minimum value of Rs.500 and load it for up to Rs.50, 000 in multiples of 500.
Yes. The fee payable is Rs.100 irrespective of the amount you choose to load on the card.

As per RBI guidelines, Gift card cannot be reloaded. Hence Best Compliments Card cannot be reloaded.

No. For your convenience the Best Compliments Card will be activated by the Bank and can be used within 1 working day of its purchase / post receipt of clear funds by the Bank (for purchase made through a cheque).
It's easy. At the time of making payment for your purchase, hand over your card to the person at the counter. He/she will swipe your card through an electronic terminal and enter the amount of your purchase. On approval, the terminal will print out a charge-slip with details of your transaction. Check that the amount is correct, and sign the slip in the same manner as you sign on the reverse of your card. Make sure that you collect your card and your copy of the charge-slip as soon as you complete the transaction.
No, there is no extra charge (surcharge) on payments made through your Best Compliments Card. However, at some merchant locations, such as petrol pumps, railway stations etc., a surcharge of 2.5% of the purchase amount will be applicable as per industry practice.
No. For security reasons, your Best Compliments Card cannot be used for making payments through the internet or for mail/telephone transactions.
The card is valid for a period of one years from the date of issue, which is also marked on the face of the card.
Yes. The value need not be exhausted all at once. You may utilize your card only for the amount you need to, as and when convenient. You can then continue to use your card till the total amount on the card has been spent or till the expiry of the card whichever is first.
Call 1800 226022 and quote your Card Reference Number to get the details , or you could walk into any Kotak Mahindra Bank ATM, insert you card, enter your PIN, and select 'Balance Enquiry'. You can also request for a mini-statement at the ATM, which will give you the details of the last 8 transactions on your card. This service is available to you absolutely free.
What happens if the amount of purchase is more than the balance remaining on my Best Compliments Card?
In such situation the transaction will be declined by the Bank on account of insufficient balance and you will be required to pay cash for the purchase.
Report the loss/theft of your card immediately at any of our branches, or call our 24 Hrs Customer Contact Center and quote your Card Reference Number .Your card will be deactivated immediately to prevent misuse.
However, no replacement card will be issued.
Any unused balance will be returned to the original purchaser of the Best Compliments Card. You will have to pay the refund fees and the Payorder making charges.

- Make sure you sign the signature panel on the reverse of your card as soon as you receive it.
- Keep your PIN a secret to avoid misuse. Make sure that you never keep your card and PIN together.
- Memorize your PIN and destroy the PIN mailer.
- Change the PIN provided by us to one that is easier for you to remember at any of our ATMs. Avoid using simple combinations like 888888 or 123456 or your date of birth.
- If you suspect that the security of your card has been breached, please contact our 24 Hrs Customer Contact Centre immediately.
- Do not bend your card.
- Do not leave your card near any electronic gadget. This can damage the magnetic strip on your card.
- Avoid exposing your card to sunlight.
