Micro-Finance

Micro-finance is a huge success in rural India. However, a large number of India’s poor reside in cities. In order to address this gap, we are collaborating with MFIs (efforts not needing to directly engage), NGOs and the government. Our first intervention is with Svasti Foundation, a Mumbai-based urban MFI that works towards making credit and financial services accessible to low income groups in urban slum areas. We have also linked the Svasti beneficiaries with Kotak Life Insurance to provide them with insurance cover.

Healthcare

On Republic Day, we organized a blood donation drive in five centres. With the active participation of our people, nearly 700 units blood were given to Red Cross, Rotary Blood Bank and similar organizations.

Organization as enabler

We have initiated an employee contribution and tied up with an NGO, GiveIndia. Employees contribute a fixed sum every month through their salary to support a cause of their choice. Group employees also contributed to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund to support the victims of the Bihar floods.
