Remitting Procedure

Please ensure that the remittance message carries both identification for your self and the purpose of the remittance. Use your name and the Customer Relationship number (CRN) to identify yourself. In the purpose of remittance should carry the instructions for the Bank to invest the funds.

Note:
  • If the purpose of the remittance is to book a FCNR term deposit, please ensure that you mention that very clearly including the currency in which the FCNR has to be held. Please ensure that you do not mention any of the NRE/NRO savings/term deposit account numbers, this is to avoid any confusion on the purpose of the funds
  • However, please ensure that the local bank remitting the funds mention the complete details in the message. Kotak Mahindra Bank does not take any responsibility for delay in receipt of funds from the Originating Bank due to incomplete information.
  • Turn Around Time Transfer of Funds to Beneficiary (Account Transfer), within 3 working days (not including Saturday, Sundays and Public Holidays) after Overseas Bank initiating the remittance.
