When the sun paints the world with all
the bright hues, I wake up and perform
my morning duties and after paying my
obeisance to the Almighty, I start off
for the day with my right foot forward.
With a good breakfast under my belt I
feel fortified and step out to face the
various challenges the day has to offer.
As I sit in the car I plan out my day
according to the Five Golden Questions:
-
- What is the agenda for the
day?
- What is on the high priority
list?
- Who all to meet and when?
- Why
should there be no excuses to meet the
self set targets for the day?
- Which
areas to tap for business development?
After a drive through the challenging
BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) accompanied by
the mindless banter on Radio Mirchi I
reach the office in an upbeat enthusiastic
mood. With a quick cheery good morning
to all I take a deep breath and handover
the previous day’s complete applications
to my manager. This is followed by my
pursuing the cases or following up with
them on the phone. As usual I get
some and I loose some! But my belief
remains - nothing ventured nothing gained. Thus
with hope in my heart and a smile on
my face I steadily make inroads even
with some very difficult clients and
generally meet with success.

A quick bite and I’m on my job
again. The best part of this job is
that one gets to meet plenty of people
and one realizes the truth of the adage
"It takes all sorts to make the world"
By the time the long shadows of the
evening fall either I am ready to report
back to the office or if it gets very
late then I head home. Usually I never
leave the client’s office without
success either in the form of a complete
application or a string of references
or both!!
All this is only possible because I
have the privilege of being associated
with a team which has a leader who leads
from the front ala M.S. Dhoni. I am grateful
and obliged that my managers have shown
such faith in my efforts and continue
to let me pursue my work enthusiastically
and dedicatedly while providing whole-hearted
support.
